Pawel Gramiak (born 29th July 1893) emigrated to the USA in 1914. Wiktoria Prokopowicz (born 1898) did the same in 1915. It is likely that they knew each other in Poland as they were married in Newark, New Jersey on 1st August 1915. They were from the area around Brzezany, which is now Berezhany in the Ukraine.
Can anyone help with family connections for this couple, prior to their time in the USA.

Hi,
Brzeżany/Berezhany is a city of regional significance located in the Ternopil Oblast (province) of western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Berezhanskyi Raion (district), and lies about 100 km from Lviv and 50 km from the oblast capital, Ternopil. In the 14th century it became a part of Poland and became the property of a noble family from Buchach.
The Roman Catholic parish was on the spot. The metrical records are stored in Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw (Polish: Archiwum Główne Akt Dawnych w Warszawie, AGAD). I do there the research very often.
