Title: DEER family West Wratting
Post by: lynda on Saturday 09 July 05 13:50 BST (UK)
Is anyone else here researching the DEER family from West Wratting? George Missen DEER married Alice RICKARD at West Wratting in 1821 and they had about 7 children all born at West Wratting. Alice died 1838 and the 3 youngest children were placed in the Linton workhouse, we know this from the 1841 census. But we can't find George or his older children in the 1841 census. George reappears at Weston Colville in 1851 and he's remarried by then. Would like to hear from anyone connected to these DEERs. Surnames of the people who married the DEER children inc Trudget, Potter, Tillbrook and Davis.

Does anyone have any information on Alice Rickard ie who her parents were?  I am tracing the Deer family for my nephew who is George and Alice's 8x grandson and have come to a bit of a standstill with Alice.  Any help appreciated.

Is this Effie who married into the Jackson family?  She was my uncle's grandmother and I remember her well if so.  Have a photo of her and her husband at their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
