Hi
I have some photos of my ancestors taken in St Austell, Cornwall in the 19th century but they are not identified. They would be relatives of John Borlase, son of William Borlase & Mary Harvey. John emigrated to Australia in 1863 with his cousin Samuel Harvey. His name changed in spelling to Borlace when he arrived in South Australia. It would be great to get in touch with any Borlase's in St Austell.
Cheers, Rev

If you haven't already done so, a good way to make surname connections with other members is to enter your surname interests in the Surname Interests Table (SIT), and to check there whether others are researching these names.
This can be found at http://surname.rootschat.com/ , there is a link to it under "Your Tools" at the bottom of each Rootschat page.
The more people who enter their surnames, the more chance there will be of making a connection!

My husbands family descends from William Borlase & Mary Harvey from St Austell. We also have a few photos. Some of which have been named. Any chance we can see the photos?

Hi Phiona
Lovely to hear from you. I am a novice to Rootschat so hopefully you get this OK & photos. Sending photo of Mary Harvey (Borlace) that I know is correct, also photos of Mary & William Borlace, William on his own in top hat, & one I believe is Ellen Borlace & husband. I have 2 others I don't know that I will send at another email. Will be eager to hear from you.
