I am looking for information re the Waugh/Denholm/Caslake families.
William Waugh married Mary Denholm in in 1837. They had a son Robert Denholm Waugh c. 1839 and he married Ann Haslake in 1866, Robert and Ann had at least five children. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Roy Bartley.

Hi Roy,
I have been searching for William Waugh and Mary Denholm for about 20 years. The only info I have on them is that they were from Scotland went to London and that William was a draper. They had another son Andrew Crosbie Waugh (my Gx3 grandfather). There was also a Dr Robert Waugh at Goulburn NSW about the same time but I have been unable to get any further info on him. I have all info on Andrew Crosbie Waugh and his wife Ann Sarah Crow's family if interested.

Hi Roy,
I am a direct descendent of Andrew Crosby Waugh (Casper in one early census) son of William Waugh and Mary Denholm. Andrew came to Australia, married here and had a large family. While I don't have any other information on William and Mary than you, I am very interested in the name Crosby. Do you have any knowledge of this name? I am happy to share the information I have. I have a little on Andrew's brothers and sisters but it is mainly from the census. I think that Mary may have come from Maxweltown and Mascalton as some have mentioned. I have never been able to find the later.
Cheers
