Looking for the above, my sister-in-law's father, who was a crew member on the RMS Queen Mary, sailing out of Southampton in the mid 1950's He would have been about 40 to 45 years of age at that time. Any thing you have would be a great help. Home beleived to be Liverpool.

Has your sister-in-law got any indication of when he married - or did he not?
Are you suggesting his birth was around 1910-1915, so possibly on 1911 census?

Only birth in Lancashire in that time frame - and he might not be Henry:

Looking at deaths in Liverpool (which is a pretty large assumption), looks like same man:
John Henry Cole birth 5th June 1914, died June quarter 1996 Liverpool
