Title: David Gealy of LLandarog
Post by: PLUCKROSE on Friday 05 June 15 17:01 BST (UK)
Hi Rootschatters,

I would be very grateful for any help in tracing the parents (probably the father) of David Gealy/Geally/Gely who was born in Llandarog in about 1786.

Thank you for reading this.

Hi Colin,

Very many thanks for your response to my plea for help. Gelly is one of the alternative spellings of the name.

There is a possible discrepancy in dates insofar as the census returns for 1851 onwards give a birthdate of around 1786. However the possible name of his father provides a new avenue to explore.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Thanks for your response. Just a small point, it is possible that he was baptised at the age of 11, sadly his date of birth is not recorded on the baptism record.
