We have a mystery family photo and maybe some idea of a date may help us. It has been mounted onto hard card and the reverse has no information whatsoever.
Thankyou Marlene.

Here it is without the scanner bed. What a magnificent Hat!
I am no expert but the hat suggests mid to late 1900s - so do the big sleeves I think
- how close am I China - or Jim?
You don't say, but do you want people to have a go at removing some of the scratches? If so maybe change the title on the original post to suggest restoring also.

It is such a beautiful photo I couldn't resist giving it a little tidy up! Do hope you don't mind.

No, I don't mind at all. Very much appreciated & also for your dating .😀 Such a shame when you come across a photo like this without a name.
Thanks again.

Similar style hats worn at my grandparents' wedding in 1909, and the child's bonnet similar to one worn by my mother around 1912.

As has already been said this is Edwardian. Difficult to pin down as this outfit was pretty much the style throughout that period.
However the sleeve style with the close fitting forearm was a mid to late decade trend so 1905-10 ish.
Many photos like this were sent to friends as well as family.

Many thanks to you all for your replies for help dating the photo. 😀
