Title: Identify a Uniform please?

Evening :)

Can anyone tell me if this was a uniform for the army during the first world war?  The Gentleman was born in 1880, and died in 1948.  I cannot find any record of him serving in the War, yet family history said he was injured in the war, and there a few photos of him in uniform.

That's great, thank you very much.  Have scoured the usual sites, and no records seem to be available for him at all, no medal roll, no service record :(  Oh well.  At least I know what he was now anyway!  Thank you :)

The badge on his arm looks like a Red Cross.
