Hi,

Yes there are burial records, the records are under Skewen ( St John's in Neath Abbey is in the parish of Skewen)

The burials should be on Findmypast

Or if you are in the area , I know that Swansea archives have the scanned (facsimile) burial registers on their shelves that you can consult.
