You may have all ready seen this, :)

Stamford Mercury 3rd Jan 1834

At Aubourn on the 21st Feb 1834, at the advanced age of 84,
Mr John Spittlehouse, farmer,
it is rather singular that He died on the same bed on which He was born,
and was never to have been known to have slept more than two nights out of it in the coursr of his life.

Hello all , and  many thanks for all your help. Eileen , i have not seen it before and although i do not have a John in my tree there is every chance he is a relative . Also William is possibly related but i do not have him in my tree for the moment.
Del , Milly Spittlehouse is my 4x gt grandmother . I have Catherine in my tree but no details of her marriage . Ancestry kindly tells me she is my 3 x gt grand aunt .
I am looking for the burial of Joseph and those of Robert and Elizabeth (Minit) who i have as Joseph's parents.

Gary.

Hello , the registers for Aubourn do not seem to exist before 1749 but the BT's do and are at Lincs Archives . I think the burials for Joseph , Robert and Elizabeth and perhaps a lot more will be found in those ... assuming they are legible
Gary.

Thanks for the marriage info for Catherine .

O.k Gary, no problem, I have known about the Spittlehouse name for some years now, but never looked into it........interestingly (for me) Catherines sister Rebecca Dolby 1798--1874 married William Johnson, my 4x (I think) grandfather on the maternal side......I must say this is a welcome break from trying to research in Ireland........Del.

Hello Del , i do have Rebecca's marriage in my tree and had traced her until the 1871 census . her death in 1874 i did not have . I do not know if you subscribe to Ancestry but if you do i have a tree on there "Wilson and Bygrave"  please have a look if you want .
