Hello,
I could use some help in verifying the death of John Robertson.
John Robertson was born 25 Jun 1859 in Old Monkland, Lanark, Scotland. He lived in Cumberland, BC Canada during the late 1800's working as a miner. I was told that he died on 19 Feb 1906 in Maitland, Huerfano, Colorado, USA. I cannot seem to find any documents to back up this fact.
Thank you very much.

I think the fellow that died in Colorado is actually Harold John Robertson. I think I will concentrate my efforts in Cumberland, BC, Canada.
Thank you

http://historicalnewspapers.library.ubc.ca/info/collection/cumberland
- search here (choose "advanced" and "exact phrase") to see info around Christina's death in 1913 but also John's death, which did take place in Colorado but back in 1903:
http://historicalnewspapers.library.ubc.ca/view/collection/cumberland/date/1903-06-30/query/John+Robertson/mode/exact/in/cumberland/result/7#1!John+Robertson
His brother, (R.S. Robertson), wife (the daughter of the late Jas. Whyte), and four children are mentioned.
His brother arranged for the return of his remains to BC, where the funeral took place:
http://historicalnewspapers.library.ubc.ca/view/collection/cumberland/date/1903-07-07/query/John+Robertson/mode/exact/in/cumberland/result/8#1!John+Robertson
Here his cause of death is mentioned (suspect a "runaway trip" to be some sort of mine cart?)
ETA: state-wide registration of deaths in Colorado didn't start until 1908, so there may not be anything to find there, especially as his burial took place in BC.

I looked for an estate file in Cumberland for John but didn't spot it. I did see Christina's:
