Birth 22 October 1776
Birth Place Werton, Oxfordshire

Dear Rosie99 and NDRFT,
Yes this is the family. Marriage at Yorkshire is Edward's parents as Rosie has replied. I am grateful for the information from NDRFT, the birthdate of 1776 is listed on wikipedia and also in some of the Gentlemen's Magazine articles. However there has been several articles saying Werton as place of birth. Hunting around the net I found it had to be Nether Worton........ NDRFT did you find these on a parish data base. I did know he had a sister Louisa as she is listed on another website...Louisa married a Thomas Bolton and that family took the surname Draper-Bolton. Diana I didn't find. But think William is listed on another eBook. NDRFT where would I obtain copies of these baptisms. Many thanks.

Hi again
The information I gave you is from the Oxfordshire Family History Society's transcribed Parish Records compilation CD. Search them out on line have a look at their catalogue and you will be able to purchase the CD direct from them and frankly that may offer you much more information from what i saw looking at it. You would do well to join the society as that too brings benefits.
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for that information. Will follow up with the Oxfordshire Family History. :)

Hello,
I am late joining the conversation but I am also very interested in the family of Edward Alured Draper and what might have happened to one son, who I believe was one of only two surviving children.
Looking forward to any feedback.
Best regards.

Hi Jazz, Can you tell me who Edward Draper senior is who went to Bendigo.........assume he had a son Edward? What family are you connected to? Regards Eagerbega.

Hi Eager Bega.
My grandfather was Francis Draper born in Broken Hill 1919. His father was Alexander Edward Draper (my great grand father). I know his farther was Alexander Draper, died in 1/7/1897 but was born in Mauritius maybe 1821.
Col Edward Aluher Draper was in Mauritius and i can see from google searches he had two sons, so my family are wondering if there is a connection.
Regards
Jazz
