The document is Francis Henry Moore's Birth Cert. Charles Henry MOORE is the father & i'm trying to figure out where he is from, so I can find His birth cert. Here's the whole document

Place called Trewan but is in Cornwall. I believe maybe another in Wales. But that's not much help really.
I see on the other thread you had it in Lanarkshire, & reference to Dumfries, but on Google the references refer to names of accommodation . ie Trewan B & B. Mostly travel entries
You have a tricky one there! Perhaps the NZ marriage record for the parents may reveal a clue? Possible birthplace for father?

Just had a wee lightbulb moment. Said it to myself with my gran's accent! She would have pronounced Trewan as TROON, which is in Ayrshire, but may well have been part of Lanarkshire before boundary.
Hope that might be helpful, depends what the writer heard I guess!

Troon, Ayrshire, is two counties away from Lanarkshire.
Skoosh.

Troon - from the Gaelic - Truin - sounds like Trewan
