I have found reference to a family member, Frederic Elijah Wheeler, belonging to The Royal Historical Society. In the RHS Transactions his address in 1893 is Lordship Park, London. Lordship Park is where he and his family lived from the 1880's. In the 1894 Transactions his address is VIII., Langegasse 7, Vienna. He uses this address until at least 1899. Can anyone tell me what was at this address or point me in the direction of where to find out. Unfortunately I don't read German.
Thank You.

Intriguing!
Which (roughly!) translates as:
Built in 1891. In the 1920's it was the editorial office of "Er und Sie. Wochenschrift für Lebenskultur und Erotik"
Him and Her. Weekly Magazine for Lifestyle and Eroticism.
According to the moral standards of the time, a scandal sheet!
(German speakers may correct this! It's a long time since I did German at school!)

Thanks for the answers. I found more information on the Vienna City Library site where they have digitised Lehmann Viennese address books
