I have viewed the Marriage Banns on Ancestry
But would dearly love to know the detail on the marriage entry , I am particularly interested in John Hartley's father's name and occupation.
does any kind soul have the detail that would cover this on CD who could possibly oblige please ?
Kindest regard Brian. :)

Fathers names are not given until 1837

Hi Rosie
Thanks for the reply
I was certain that I have obtained marriage entry records via Roots chat for a similar period where the entry has been scanned and it gives more detail than the Marriage Banns.
Kindest regards Brian. ;)

The link I have given you is the marriage not the banns.
Were the other records you have seen Non conformist. They may give more information I know the baptisms do

Hi Rosie thanks again
No sorry this is the entry I had viewed before
Thank you.
Kindest regards Brian. :)

That is the marriage entry not the banns and is the most information you will get on the couple :'(

Sorry for my very late arrival on this site, but I have only just come across it!
Also apologies for being a bit of a novice in these matters.
I have John & Martha on my family tree but their marriage date does not ring true with the births of one or two of their eldest children unless they are from a previous marriage. I am more than happy to share any information that I have and may I recommend(unless you are familiar with it) Malcolm Bull's Calderdale Companion which I visit regularly. I have also a photo of the gravestone of Martha, John, and one or two more which I think are more likely to be the ones you are looking for
