I'm trying to identify an R. Ritchie, from Tinwald Parish, Dumfries.
Going through some items at home recently I came across a medallion that looks as though it was probably presented to Mr/Mrs/Miss Ritchie shortly after the Second World War as it has the dates "1939-1945" on it.
Can anybody enlighten me please?
Many thanks.

We used to live in Tinwald and my husband seems to recall his father having the same medal, presented to him when there was a welcome home event following WW2

Many thanks Lisbeth. Sorry for the delay in replying - I've only just started using RootsChat again.
