If possible I would like to find this family in the 1841 census, it's the dreaded SMITH's!!
William SMITH born circa 1779 & Martha SMITH nee BROWN

Hi Simon,
Sorry, couldn't find any of the family in Stokesby, so looked through all the parishes of East and West Flegg, quite a few Smiths (of course) but none that fitted.
I did find a Jane in Rollesby, right age but she may not be the right one, hard to tell without other family members:
