Title: Tatham baptism lookup please - Mary RICHARDSON
Post by: Pam57152 on Saturday 16 May 15 08:12 BST (UK)
I am wondering if anyone has access to the Baptism records of Tatham.  I am looking for the baptism of MARY RICHARDSON circa 1690-1710.  Mary married John Bowker/Bouker/Booker at Tatham in 1729.  She was "of Tatham" when they married.  Would be very grateful for some help on this one.

although Marriages are transcripted from 1557 to 1837 - the baptisms are not yet transcribed

Marriage: 4 Nov 1729 St James the Less, Tatham, Lancashire, England
John Bouker - Bentham
Mary Richardson - Tatham
Register: Marriages 1557 - 1754, Page 130

Bentham to Tatham is 5 miles according to AARouteplanner

Hi

Have checked the Tatham registers between 1690-1729 and there is no Mary Richardson there.

The baptism Heatherjulie found looks quite promising, additional info from that record says the family were from Skerton, which is about 11 miles from Tatham

You might also want to consider West Yorkshire and Westmoreland  for her baptism, they are  both so close to Tatham http://www.genuki.org.uk/cgi-bin/nearby

Thanks everyone!  At least I can now eliminate Tatham from my search.  The one in Lancaster is looking promising but I'm also looking at a Quaker birth around the right time.  I do have some Quakers in the next generation.
