Title: The things you just dont expect
Post by: Jomot on Sunday 10 May 15 20:53 BST (UK)
21 years ago my ex-husband had an affair and we divorced and have never uttered a civil word to each other since.

I've just been in stitches laughing at the discovery that "the trollop" as she has always been 'affectionately' referred to is actually related to me.  Oh I'm soooooo tempted to tell him, I think he'd choke!  ;D

Yes do  ;D

I got divorced 30 years ago after a very unhappy marriage - on the day of the decree my ex promised to dance on my grave.  I've requested to be buried at sea  :o

not to rub it in . ;D ;D..... you should remember and use the time worn speakers method;
Tell him what you are going to tell him then tell him then tell him what you have told him.

What is the point? 21 years of historical silence then, ahh, lets open old wounds so the tit for tat can start all over again, and we will all feel really good, or will we ?

I don't suppose you were serious but you'd be much better just having a chuckle to yourself.

You wouldn't want him to think you were still bitter after all these years and stalking his new partner's family through the generations

Oh he's well aware I'm not bitter, quite the opposite - my life took a far better course than his - it just amuses me to picture his reaction.   But you're right, I'll probably just keep on chuckling to myself & savouring the fantasy (plus its always good to keep something in reserve, just in case) ;D

You at least have something to thank your new found relative for then if your life was improved by her actions :D
