hi everyone, can you please help me in finding out about james shepherd born 1849 and his sister ellen born 1864, their marriages, children ect, ..their parents are william 1818 and susan(haines) 1822, all from atworth, wilts, i have traced all other members of this family but nothing on these two william and ellen

I meant have you found the birth references on free bmd or similar - not just their approximate birth from the censuses?

There was a 1875 marriage in Melksham Wiltshire of a James Shepherd to Jane Alford - Q1 1875 - 5a 174 - have you discounted this one ???
Melksham would only be a few miles away from Atworth.
Also notice that ancestry trees quote this marriage but name Jane Alford as Hephzibah Jane Alford born 24 September 1854 to Stephen and Hephzibah Alford - Atworth Wiltshire. ??? None source the couple after this event ::)

Oops - sorry didn't see you there. Your very welcome - hope these little snippets help. I have noticed an ancestry tree showing census records for this family but using a different Elizabeth (York). They also describe George as George Richard Shepherd and that is incorrect.
