Greetings peoples,
I am wanting to get a subscription for researching my family.
I have narrowed my options down to Ancestry with the World Heritage package (as a lot of my relatives are from the UK).
I also want to purchase a Family History program, can anybody suggest the best program that would work with this package, I have two options in mind.
1. Family Tree Maker Deluxe OR
2. Legacy Family Tree.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I am in a position to pick up my research, where I left off.
Thanks in advance. :)

Hi
If you are going to buy the Ancestry package, I would opt for Family Tree Maker for two reasons
a) It syncs with Ancestry
b) Often FTM comes with a 6 months subs to Ancestry, so saving you money.

As groom says....................FTM & yes the "Delux"
I have delux but it's an old one so I'm thinking of changing to an up-to-date one too ::)
Annie
ADDED............I also have "Worldwide" Ancestry & would recommend it as it's amazing what you can find & not much dearer :-)

Hi
You need to look closely at both Ancestry and Findmypast as, whilst both have the likes of England & Wales Censuses and GRO Indexes and a number of other databases, they differ when it comes to Parish Register images. Some Counties are on Ancestry, some are on Findmypast and others are not online at all. There are also other databases that are on one and not the other. It is important to check that whoever you subscribe to actually has the records to help you.
