I think this address may have been a hostel/lodging house for men. Does anyone have any details or info for this place please
Cheers

What description is given for it (or the owner) on the 1911 census?
What are the residents shown as - boarders/lodgers etc
-
Hi can you tell us who was living at that address in 1911, as I can spot a 7 New Lane Meadow Lane Leeds in a general address search?

This is from an ER record:
William Benstead, 1911, 152, Meadow Lane, Pudsey, Leeds
Reference Number PUD:9/2
I think there is Meadow Lane, and then several streets 'off' Meadow Lane.

;D David Allison living in Leeds?

Are we being deliberately circumspect because we are not meant to discuss the 1911 census.
If so, perhaps the OP should email one of the people who knows -- sorry, off out now?
I have been trying to do a search of TB sanatorium in Leeds, but not having much success. And internet on blink

I have managed to get on the internet to do a 1911 census check and it seems as if the address is 7 New Lane, Meadow Lane, Holbeck, Leeds and it is a Church Army Home/Hostel. Not there any more owing to redevelopment of that area.
Thanks to all who posted replies but please what does the abbreviation OP stand for.
Cheers

Hi glad you solved the problem, was this place near Richmond Hill Leeds?

A couple of miles max from Richmond Hill I would say.
I have a copy of a 1906 map of the area. Let me know if you want anything looking up.

Hello Meadow Lane started at Leeds Bridge l think it ended where Beeston Road branches to the left Elland Road right at the Coach and Horses which was positioned slap bangs in the middle.
Not too sure where New Meadow Lane lays.
The area changed greatly once work started on M62.
Yorkshire Archives are pretty good with maps ect.
I think Holbeck covered a big area.
Hope this helps or maybe l'v confused you even more sorry
Ps l thought Richmond Hill was a distance away from Holbeck!

No, not far at all, just the other side of the river, about a mile and a half.
