If you go to FreeBMD and enter MUDD as "surname" and GALE as "Spouse/mother surname", there are no results - this would imply that there were no children.

You can look for children on free bmd:

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

(You can also check for their marriage).

Why do you need to know if they had children, as these children will probably be living?

Are Walter and Bessie both dead?

Have you got birth years for Walter or Bessie, and looked for their deaths for more information about them?

There is a tree online that suggests that there was a child to that marriage.

Contact the tree owner?

Hi and welcome to Rootschat

The marriage was in 1951 which means that any children born to that marriage are very likely to be still alive

Walter was b c1897 and died 1968

Rootschat has a "no living persons policy" so details cannot be given here

Free Ancestry access is available at most libraries and help is usually available to show you how to search for that type of information
