The excellent transcriptions on Mel Lockie's site have been incredibly useful for me but I was wondering if there are any transcriptions of Little Wenlock and surrounding Parishes as this is now where my research has led me.

I am looking for the marriage of my 6x gr grandparents Richard Green born 1794 and Esther Stringer born 1801 both baptised at Buildwas. I think they were married about 1722 at Little Wenlock.

Hi Irene,
I have checked the Little Wenlock marriages recorded on my Shropshire marriage CD, but the last recorded marriage there is 1800.
I also checked all Shropshire marriages recorded in the surname GREEN, but found nothing.
I can only suggest that you contact the Shropshire Family History Society who may be able to help.

there is a typo somewhere ??...should that be a 1701  birth for Esther Stringer and not 1801 ?
is this Esther ?

Sorry! There certainly is a typo. Richard Green was born in 1694 and Esther in 1701.
