Title: Welsh in America
Post by: Periwhinkle on Thursday 02 April 15 09:44 BST (UK)
Would someone Welsh I guess, know of the best book or website to investigate more about the Welsh links to America?  There are literally hundreds of links etc...so can someone steer me to the best one?

"Welsh in America" is a very broad subject as you've found from googling. Perhaps concentrating on a particular place if you are searching for a certain individual/family will get the information you are looking for.

Yes true it is broad; I'm looking at incorporating some history about their emigration to our country for use in a presentation paper, hence the title of my post.  In looking closer at some of the historical writings about it I can see what you mean however because there is a lot about it.

If you're making your presentation to an audience of Welsh descent, presumably the Welsh derivation of the name 'America' will be featured prominently.  You never know, a descendant of Richard ap Meuric himself might be there.
