Title: St Anne's Church, Lydgate, Oldham - Marriage Look up BENNETT- CONNOR

If anyone is visiting or has access, I am looking for details of ages and parents of the Marriage of Fred BENNETT and Hilda CONNOR who married 1924 in St Anne's Church, Lydgate, Rochdale.

This is my last hope before having to send for the marriage record.

It is Lydgate Oldham not Rochdale  ;)

Oldham Archives has parish records but marriages only go to 1879. http://www.oldham.gov.uk/info/200391/sources/657/parish_registers

Are you hoping to find that she is the daughter of John and Elizabeth Connor who were living at 23 Clegg Street  Springhead from 1891?

Hi I have no idea who their parents were. This is for a friend and this was her fathers side who she has no information as her parents were divorced. The last step would be to get the marriage cert but I wondered if anyone who had access to the records might be able to help.

This information has been given on another site so it does look as though the certificate will have to be purchased to verify the information.

There is only 1 local birth for a Hilda Connor - 1903 with mother's maiden name Sutcliffe. This would seem to be the one Heather has mentioned as did the poster on your request on the other site.

Was she Hilda CONNER or CONNOR
