Hi everyone
I have just bought a hudl2 and am having trouble with email. My emails are quickly deleted from my inbox without me actually doing anything. They disappear completely and don't end up in Recycle BIn or any other folder.
I have deleted my email account and started again but with the same result. I'm with talktalk.
Would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks and regards
Caro.

I am no expert .. but I have just checked my hudl and it has this in the Incoming Settings for the username.
recent:john.smith@anyisp.com
i.e. place "recent:" infront of what is already there on your Hudl.
ALSO: Make sure that the "Delete email from server" is set to Never
If this doesn't work, let us know and maybe someone else can offer hints or tips.

Hello dawnsh, thanks for your reply but have had no luck I'm afraid.
I deleted my account and tried to set up a new one with recent infront of my username but it wouldn't validate settings and I got the message "couldn't finish, your username or password is incorrect"
Also I do not have "delete email from server" option, only" confirm before deleting"(which I have ticked) and "swipe to delete "(which I've tried both with tick and untick) .
I am only thankful that my emails on main computer are arriving and staying put as usual.
Regards Caro.

maybe contact talktalk and Tesco?

Caro,
Just a quick thought, do you read your emails on something else sometimes too (like a PC or a laptop)?

I've got a hudl and had the same problem.
What was happening was that once I'd also downloaded the emails onto my computer they were being deleted from the server and thus also vanished from the hudl.
I altered the settings as suggested by dawn and they then stayed put.

Jen,
It's the settings on the computer (not the Hudl itself) that have to be changed, I expect?

Thankyou everyone for your helpful advice.
Yes I was doing the same as Jen and reading emails on my desktop pc as well as hudl.
I went away for a few days (plus hudl) just after I bought it and everything was fine, the problems started when I got home (and was reading emails on main computer as well).
My main computer is set to receive emails via POP3 and I have changed the hudl to this from IMAP, this brought up the option Delete email from server NEVER which IMAP didn't.
Many thanks once again
Caro
