I have a death cert I need to find where she is buried if possible
-
As she was a very young child she may have been put in with other family members. Where were her parents & grandparents buried.

You previously requested help on this burial in February, please see my reply on the link below,

that's great thank you , I hadn't seen that reply for some reason, (totally confused) , is there anyone going to the records office who could look it up for me as im in Worcestershire , willing to donate if anyone can do it for me .
???

I am only 5 miles from Widnes - do you think Mary Kate may be buried in St Bedes ? - re the other link Text T has posted ?
ADDED
I have just checked on AARoutefinder - I am 8 miles from my house to the St Bedes churchyard ...my wife goes to Widnes market every Wednesday - I could pop in to the churchyard and have a look on Wednesday ? - weather permitting .
ADDED again
I see that Text T states the records for Widnes are kept in Widnes Library - before I go to the churchyard I could check in Widnes library where Mary Kate Clarke is buried ?

garsonite --that would be amazing :D it would be great if you could as I feel pretty helpless down here at the moment ---im hoping to come to widnes when I have all the info together to do a "grave visiting trip" and mary Catherine and George eli are the last two I need to find ,I believe I have found George eli Clarke in st mary the virgin prescot as he died in 1880 in whiston workhouse ,he is registered as ELI and not George eli , so I just need to contact the church and see if they have the burial records so I can find the row and plot number --not sure where to look if they don't have it ---will be willing to pay any costs to you for looking for mary burial for me , she would have been my great aunt ,a million thanks for you doing this ,xx
-
No problem ... :)

hi garstonite , just filling in as many blanks as I can ready for a grave visiting holiday (so sad ) lol , but I really enjoy it , theres no problem with my George eli ,im sure I have him buried in st mary the virgin prescot ,but still needing to look for mary Catherine death , ive had a scoot around but cant find her as of yet , I never actually seem to know what im doing I just click and click till I find something ,so I would still be really really gratefull,if you do have the time to see if you can find any info on her for me , fingers crossed --bo x

I have looked at the microfilm in Widnes Library of St Marie’s RC Widnes burials for Catherine Clarke but she is not recorded there. Strangely, although the church was founded in 1865, burials do not appear to have been carried out in any number until late in 1873. The first two burials recorded are for 1861 (odd, since the church was not founded for another four years), these have been entered and then crossed out. The next three are for 1865, and then there are no more until 1873. Also, all of these burials are consecutively numbered, so there are no missing pages.
So it seems likely that the funeral service and burial were both carried out at St Bede's.
(I also checked the burials at St Mary's CofE in West Bank Widnes just in case the service took place there, but it did not.)

It was Mary Catherine (Mary Kate) clarke that I was looking for died 1872 --aged 2 years --from widnes

I also originally looked for Catherine as the Mary in your first post did not have a capital M and I missed it as part of her name, then I put my glasses on ;D

Lol , I am so bad at typing , I never put capitals or apostrophes or full stops , I tend to talk the same as well lol xxx

Lets hope the weather is better tomorrow - it's raining here today ...
-
Oh dear it's sunny and very spring like her in Worcestershire , but forecast rain later today 😎
-
Good morning - well - a very helpful lady in Widnes library sat with me for nigh on an hour as we went through record books ...but sadly she explained they don't have ALL the records - there are a few they don't have ...she has promised to contact the relevant people to try and find Mary Catharine Clarke died 1872 ..I tried to say how grateful I was but she stopped me and said she relished queries like that as to her it was a challenge to try and find the record ...she agrees with Text T and thinks it will be St Bedes ...Gerard Street is a 200 yard walk from the library ....so - although we had no joy yesterday - I am hopeful of a result for next Wednesday ...I will return next Wednesday and hopefully get a grave location and visit St Bedes in Appleton Village ....fingers crossed ....and by the way it was a lovely day .. :)
-
Well - it is a lovely sunny day -went to St Bedes church - only to find there are NO Graves at the church ...there is a monument which I presume is for WW1 / WW2 servicemen and there is a large tomb .....no headstones or graves whatsoever .....
so -where is Mary Catherine Clarke ????
back to the drawing board

St Bede's church is located to the north side of an almost square section of land bordered to the west by Kingsway, to the south by Leigh Avenue, and to the east and north by the road which goes by the name of Appleton Village.
The graveyard is located in the south east corner of this square section of land, i.e. on the corner formed by Leigh Avenue and Appleton Village. It is not visible from the church as it is hidden by the primary school, other buildings and trees. It is also not obvious from outside on the roads at the south east corner as the roads are lower than the graveyard, the graveyard being retained by a very high sandstone wall. The distance from the church to the graveyard is less than 100 yards.

Oh - well I seen the social club and the school ....I will go again next Wednesday and ask someone for directions ... I wish I would have known that today ...lol :)
