Post by: korax on Saturday 21 March 15 06:30 GMT (UK)
I have been unable to identify this family, though I can see likenesses. Dating may help. Thx

I do so love these casual family photos - "I know, let's all go down the garden and stand against the fence, there's a bit of sacking for the kids to sit on....."   :D

Comparing it to a photograph I have of my ancestors, who were a farming family, the clothes are almost identical children's and adults and my photo is 1908

Great picture, the thing that struck me was the 4 boys at the front look of a similar age give or take a few years. Obviously they may be brothers/cousins so you could look for that birth pattern around the time suggested by your other replies.
At that time a photo was obviously a big occasion, they were in their best bib and tucker so it would be unlikely a family member would not turn up unless they had a very good reason.
