Looking for some help in Finding either the Marriage and or Death records for John/Jack Andrews born 1897. who lived in Ringend circa late 1920s -1940s.
John Married Josephine McLoughlin in guessing sometime between late 1920s early 1930s.
They had at least 7 children,I believe the youngest born circa 1938-39.
The children.
Peter,
Jackie,
Thomas 17/10/1933,
Arthur,
Suzanne,
Patricia 13/3/1938.
also Rebecca who died very young, her death may give a clue to Johns death as its said he died not long after of a broken heart.
Im also looking for a possible Marriage date for John and Josephine,
I have her aged 7 on 1911 census living at York Terrace, her father Thomas 53 a glass-blower born Scotland, her mother Rebecca (Mordaunt).
any help greatly appreciated,

Thanks Dathai, there is very little Known about John apart from the 1911 Census info.
There was family 'talk' of him been originally from the Yorkshire area but the census info and his birth cert from 1897 contradicts this family 'info'.

Thanks Aghadowney, I have the McLoughlin Mordaunt marraige, Thomas was also converted to R/C a month before the wedding, there is also an extensive Mordaunt family history online..(though a wee bit confusing, but very helpful)
Im just trying to put 'to bed' some confusion/rumours regs Births that were thought to have been in Scotland and England.
Thomas gives Glasgow Scotland as his birthplace circa 1860..his parents William Mc Loughlin-Catherine Scott...this is another road I will be looking down shortly..(trying to locate info on place of his birth and when, along with info on his parents.)

Have you found this marriage? Maybe Scottish census records will help
William McLaughlin married (1847 Glasgow) Catherine Scott

baptism age 20
http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/ff10170000166
siblings
Christina and Helen,Twins 2nd April 1855 in Duddingston
William 9th June 1860 in Anderston
John 23 Sep 1862 in Anderston
Catherine Lamond 9th Jan 1867 in Anderston
So you should be able to find them on 1861 Census in Anderston
Note the spelling is generally given as McLachlan
I have distant relatives here in Dublin by name of McLachlin whose name i was originally given as McLoughlin who i never could trace till i found a burial in Glasnevin 1997 which gave the informant in her married name i found this lady in the phone book and when i spoke to her she told me her maiden name was McLachlin not McLoughlin so watch out for that when you are doing your search.

Thanks Dathai, I have the info regs the Family in Scotland, found the family on the 1841 -1851 census, I think its possible the whole family 'may' have arrived in Ireland before the marriage in 1877, William, Thomas's father was also employed as a Glass worker in Scotland so its possible this is what drew him to Ireland.
From past 'heartache' I kept in mind there would be variation's of the Mc Loughlin name in mind when I started the search, as you well know, it wasnt uncommon to drop O's and A's when its suits..I even looked at the 'Mac' been dropped..
I have info that there were 2 church burials in 1885 for a Catherine Mc aged 50 and another aged 59 in Dublin.these be worth looking into though the Info does not give whether it was South or North Dublin...I may have to purchase the certs to see what info can be gleaned from them.

On Another Note and to save me adding a Post, would anyone know of a register of Pawn Brokers in Dublin circa 1840s-1860s.
I have a John Andrews listed as father of Groom in 1863 Marraige of Fredrick Andrews of Charlemont St to Ann Birmingham of Abbey St in the church of St Peter.
John gives his occupation as 'Pawnbroker' though not sure whether he was a clerk ??
John I believe 'may' have been married to a Mary ann or Marion Watson.

Makes very interesting reading Dathai,
Im waiting to piece the info together to then look for the Graves of John Andrews Jnr,who married Josephine Mc Loughlin in 1923.
I can then work on his father John Robert Andrews who married Susan Memery in Irishtown in 1892.
Deansgrange looks like the obvious choice, but I wouldnt rule out Mt Jerome especially with the earlier South side addrss's linked to family.
I have noticed a few other queries on other sites from a lady going under the name 'Little Alison' she seems to have carried out extensive research on the Andrews family,I believe she is Fredricks great great grandaughter,I noticed a tribute on the death of Florence Anne Andrew's
Dowse, signed Alison..if by any chance she see's thsi post I would be grateful if she could drop me a Pm.

Hi grizzly1 dont mean to hijack your thread, " little Alison" is on roots chat. I have been following her posts on this and other sites as I have an interest in Ringsend and the Irish glass bottle co.
Maybe you could try and PM her :)
