MY GG-grandmother Elizabeth Bryan(nee Hassall) who was born in Ticknell, Derbyshire, and on 1881 Census was living with her stepmother Ann Hassall and her two daughters and one son in Rhuddlan, North Wales. Her son, my G-grandfather Joseph Thomas Hassall, married Maggie Jane Jones of Conwy in 1897. Any information would be most welcome
Thanks in anticipation

Welcome to Rootschat. Have you got a date of birth for Elizabeth? What information do you already have, so that we don't duplicate it?

In respect of the article referred to,there is a Thomas Cruite listed at the same address in 1881.
There is a death record for a Lizzie Bryan aged 34 in 1889 which would match, but strangely, there appears to be another article in 1893 referring to Elizabeth Bryan at 3 Kinmel Terrace!

Could this be one of the children referred to?
Rhyl Journal, 1890
SCHOOL ATTENDANCE CASES. Meredith Jones, whose boy of 12 had passed no standard, Thomas Croot, whose putative boy of 8 was on the register of no school, and had not passed any standard, and had to pay fines and costs of 5d each, and other less glaring infringements were dealt with.
And some history of the relationship between Mrs Wragg and the Hassall family - an argument over Joseph's will
http://welshnewspapers.llgc.org.uk/en/page/view/3850858/ART18/hassall
that item mentions Georgina Shawcross Jones - althuogh this is about the bigamous Mrs Georgina Shorthouse Jones, I think she is the same, given she is daughter of the late Joseph Hasall (traveller), with Derbyshire connections

Please could you tell me how to print off the page from the newspaper - I have tried but it just prints off in sections, and some of the digitalised info on the rhd is a bit fractured due to the siftward being unable to decipher some of the images????
I am not one to used social media 'speak' (I used lol as lots of love and wondered why I keep getting funny comments!!!!!!! ) but Blimey!!!
Thanks again and if you find anything else - I will be equally grateful

My Grandfather was John Hassall of Midway Street, Levenshulme, Manchester and his wife, my Grandmother, was May Josephine Wright of same address. My Grandmother May went on to bring four children up during a very hard times in the 1930s. My Mum was Joan May Hassall and her siblings were Frances, Tom and Jack. They all lived at 24 Midway Street, Levenshulme with my Gran leaving in 1976, the year my mother died. Does anyone know or have relatives who knew the family?
