Bula.
Posting my first topic from Fiji. My family are of mixed blood with our surname being Elbourne. We are planning a family reunion for 2017. I would like to draw up a family tree of the Elbourne family which also touches on the origins of the name and where in England it most likely originated. I would be very grateful for any help that could be given.
Vinaka.

The National Burials Index confirms Barry's info with the largest grouping of the name being in Cambs. The earliest I can see is 1608 & the latest 1948.

If you go to the Diocese of Chelmsford website, you will see that the Director of Education is a Tim Elbourne and he comes from the Cambridge area. There may well be a way of making contact with him through that website and knowing him, if he finds a connection with Fiji, he will be very interested.
