Hi all,
Looking for an app for a 10" android tablet.
I've looked at reviews for FamilyBee and ezGed and was disappointed. Both look like they haven't been updated in years.
Has anyone tried FamilyGTG? It looks good in Google Play.
What is everyone else using? Any advice welcome :)

Not familiar with any of those you mention. What are your expectations for the app?

I use GEDSTAR on a Nexus 7 - works very well. But it is "read only" - you cannot update information on the tablet. It is a good way to take your tree with you on trips for reference. The tree needs to be maintained on some other programme (I use FTM on PC), and exported to the tablet as a GED file.

I have started using the Roots Magic app, as I use Legacy as my main family tree program I get Roots Magic to use the legacy file, it involves a bit of work but it does work perfectly.

I use Family Historian on my PC. Really, I just need a gedcom viewer. And one that works offline and doesn't involve signing up for a website. My folks are going to a family reunion and want to take the database with them on their Samsung 10 (don't know exact model). It needs to be able to cope with large files. I've got about a month to get it organised and them comfortable using it ;)

Have a look at http://www.appszoom.com/android_applications/gedcom which compares and lists a number of Android Gedcom Apps.

Thanks Falkyrn. That site was really helpful. Think I'm going to go for the FamilyGTG
