Title: Race Day
Post by: Sherlock77 on Monday 23 February 15 23:42 GMT (UK)
I picked up this photo awhile back now - here in Calgary, there is nothing on the back or front, but it tells such a story, not even sure how old it might be, any thoughts?

And notice the complete absence of any women, unless there is someone I missed, one of the first things I noticed with this photo...  :P

Snow is gone but the leaves haven't come out yet. Still cold though - Notice the figure to the right keeping the two boys warm with his coat, and the man to the right of them trying to stay warm before the race. Wonder if it could be a Victoria Day celebration somewhere.

Since you picked it up in Calgary makes me think its somewhere on the Prairies. Should be able to trace something on the Duckworths Cafe.

Very nice photo  :)

.....and I may well be wrong but the runner to the right of #4 looks like he has CPR on his shirt. The man in uniform behind runner #9 looks a bit like a railway conductor.
