Hi just wondering if someone could look up a Isabell wyndow married to a John Winchcombe in  11 feb 1594 in painswick. Just wondering if there is a birth or baptism record for her as I am unsure of her birth details

Hi,
I have today attempted to do a lookup for you at Glos Archives (GA), but unfortunately the microfiche is too difficult to read. As a result, I have pre-ordered the St Mary, Painswick PR for next Saturday and will get back to you with my findings.

Hi,
These records are now available on An*****y which I have checked this morning. The ONLY entries that I can find, 1571-1577 are as follows:-
St Mary, Painswick, PRs
Isbel HUNT(?), dau of Thomas HUNT(?) baptised 20th June 1577
Isbell HESS, dau of Thomas HESS baptised 29th September 1573
You could try accessing the An*****y index for Gloucestershire to see if the baptism you are looking for is there, but be warned, the index, which you can search by name, is somewhat suspect, as these were transcribed in China!
