George "Larkin" appears as "Larkings" on 1871/1881 census -he is unmarried and with family - so it doesn't look like the 7 children were all his??

Good Morning Ann ... are you related to either George or Fanny or both?
Fanny is my great great grandmother and I'm not sure if I'm one of George's great great grandsons, it's all rather confusing especially if I'm forced into changing my surname ;D

There's a George William Pepper bapt 1878, Hastings - mother Fanny Pepper as well
His birth reg has Larkins as 3rd forename!

Mary Jane marries as MJ Pepper but says George Larkings is her father.
It looks as though at least two of Fanny Pepper's children were fathered by George as they have the Larkin / Larking(s) name as a forename. I wonder why they didn't marry earlier, it doesn't look as if either already had a spouse.

Did you just want to trace George after 1891, or go back to his ancestors?
he was bapt on 11 Jan 1849 in Hastings, s/o James and Ann. GRO gives mother's maiden name as Adams. 1851 census shows he had a lot of older siblings, so a marriage for James and Ann abt 1830ish would be likely
