Unable to find great grand mothers birth :(
According to census records she was born 1863 in ireland.
Her name was margaret algie.
According to her marriage certificate her parents were james algie (farm labourer) and Eliza Jane Healy.

Searched for her parents and found this but spelling is different

And that's it, I've found no other trace of them

Registration of births began in 1864 so if Margaret Algie was born before that date there will be no birth certificate and you'd need to search for a baptism from church records. Not all church records are online or even survive for that period and depending on the denomination and clergyman there may be only a baptismal rather than birth date.
Here is the extracted marriage of James Algoe (father James) & Eliza Jane Haly (father John) on 8 Sept.1859 in Convoy district (you should post the links rather than a screenshot)-

and the birth of an unnamed son in 1865 which you found-

It sounds as though the family didn't stay in Ireland?
William Paul Algie (1868 Scotland) https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FQTJ-7BR
Mary Chapman Algie (1870 Scotland) https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FQ4C-K49
You may find more details of the family's background in Scottish records.

Thank you, you're a star :)
I never thought to search scottish records for Margaret's family ::)
All my research was based on details from margaret algie's marriage certificate.
Margaret Algie married James Robertson, Feb 1884 in parish of dalziel, Lanark. The marriage certificate says both her parents were deceased.
The links you provided were fantastic :D
I have learned soooooooooooooooooooo much
It would appear everything was a LIE :o
Margaret's mother was very much alive in 1884. She was living in abbey poorhouse with sons John and William :o
