I am researching my 3xgr grandfather William Wadsworth born June 1782 Hoyland Yorkshire he was a Groom & Agriculteral Labourer he married a Elizabeth trying to find a marriage in Hoyland but their children were born in Masbrough in Rotherham got all their births of the children.
I believe according to Barnsley Archives there is some records missing for Hoyland.
William,s father was called William a farmer from Hoyland I know there was a lot of Wadsworth in Hoyland & I think they were connected with the Wadsworth in Darfield .
I have looked in different parishes around Hoyland Wentworth, Wath, & Rawmarsh can anyone help to sort this out.
I found a Wadsworth family tree on Google Roots ChatsI wonder if there is a conncetion
Thanks

Hi Dobfarm
Thanks for that information I have already looking into that so far the children do not match up I think it must be 2 families the reason is the other family children was from Whiston my was from Masbrough
There was a George Wadsworth parents William & Betty from Whiston who married 9 May 1824 Elizabeth Bool their first child Charles born 1808 parents William & Betty my George one of the children born 1810 Masbrough married a Frances or Fanny Clayton they lived in Sheffield where all their children were born.
Children of William & Elizabeth were bapt as mother called Elizabeth not Betty same as Charles
Thanks
