hi can anyone help me find out a bit more about a relative who died his name was Bernard Harry Porter Private Kings shrop light inf died 2nd July 1944 aged 29 official number 4031761 2nd Bn he is at Hermaville war cemetery.
Would like to find bit more on where he was fighting when he died et and not sure where to look

The Battalion war diary suggests he may have been wounded by artillery on the 1st July and died the following day of his wounds. That said he could have been wounded days earlier and died of his wounds.
