Hi all, I'm just gonna put this out there in to hopes that someone knows/is part of this family!!
I am William Stewart's great granddaughter his parents were Duncan stewart and Janet Stewart (nee Mullen) they had a company called D #stewart & son's farm haulage of Strathaven. I'm writting this as the family is getting smaller as the years go on and I'd love for someone to be able to get back to me telling me where there is family so that I can go back to my Granddad (only son of William Stewart and Mary (Orr) Stewart and say see who I found for you (also hoping for to get a reunion for him)
I thank you all in advance
Kind Regards
Gillian Stewart

Good luck Gillian,
Hope you find some of your Stewarts.
I have Stewart's on my paternal side but all from the Glasgow area .
I also have Mullen/Mullan's from Ireland.
regards

Good luck with finding your Stewarts, Stwrt - I see Strathaven is South Lanarkshire - I am a Glasgow person myself, my OH is a Stewart - but his lot are definitely of Aberdeen vintage. It is such a common name in many parts of Scotland! If you give some relevant years/time frame, someone might be able to help. Good luck!!

Hi Gillian ,
using Scotlandspeople.gov index, Duncan Stewart married Janet Mullen 1887 in Cambusnethan,
William Stewart married Mary Orr 1920 in Lesmahagow, if this info, is correct, it may help in your quest.
Cheers
