Hello All,
Does anyone have any further deatail on 2 marriages of James Throsby
.I have the BMD records only
1847 ref Blaby (Likely to be Aylestone) to Frances Neal
1857 ref Leicester to Mary Bowley

 Any connection to Thomas Throsby  born c1799 a Tailor, living with wife Mary & family  in Wellington St in 1851/61.

Thanks for this information, confirms my James Throsby as a widower and also helped with Mary Bowley as I wasnt sure of her marital status, as she had son John Bowley b 1851. so he turns out to be illegitimate.
I havn`t found the Bowley family in 1841 or 1851 but have an Aylestone baptism 1826

I dont have Thomas Throsby 1799 in my tree but could well be related, as a lot are descended from Nicholas Throsby Alderman and Mayor of Leicester, died 1782 and has a memorial in St Martins if that help
