William Best (my 3rd great grandfather). All I have is a place and date of birth (Kingston-Upon-Hull; January 20, 1799). I suspect that date comes from a death record. William emigrated to New Brunswick, Canada and died in 1830. I am interested in locating some sort of source document at the UK end. Thanks in advance.

No details are known of William's marriage. I have seen the family trees at Ancestry but the absence of sourcing sent me to this board.

Hi Suzard,
I have looked through the Baptisms for Sculcoates and Holy Trinity, Hull and can only find one Baptism for a William which is the same one as Ultraman gave Holy Trinity Hull, 05 Feb 1799 Parents William & Ann Best, Joiner. Taken from Holy Trinity Baptisms 1792=1812 Transcribed by East Yorkshire Family History Society.
I do not think this could be your William as this couple have another William on 28/12/1803. Going by this he may have been born in Drypool or Sutton on Hull but he is not born in Holy Trinity or Sculcoates.
Do you have the age at death of your William?
