I am researching the names Timmins, Ashley and Hooton. The Timmins family are from Dudley, Worcestershire. I'm not sure when they came to Middlesbrough but they appear in 1901 censu. The Ashley family are from Over, Cheshire again not sure when they came to Middlesbrough but they appear in 1901 census. The Hooton's are from Staithes.

My mothers side of the family is Ashley & they are from Over & Winsford in Cheshire. They came to Teesside in about 1890 to work at the new salt works at Haverton Hill. If you can let me have what details you have on your Ashley connection I will see if I can identify the link to our Ashley family.
