Title: Caer Ferch, Can any body give me even a rough geographical location?

I've come across a marriage record where the Groom or Groom's father lived in Caer Ferch.

I believe this may be a farm. The marriage took place in LLANAELHAIARN Parish in 1841.

Can any body give me even a rough geographical location?

If you've used the link provided by 'Gadget', you'll see that there is more than one Caer Ferch ------, in that area. One of my maternal grandmother's sister, from Trefor, parish of Llanaelhaiarn, married a son of one of the farms. They moved to Llandudno/ Conwy Valley area. I think these farms are within parish of Llangybi.
What are the names of the persons you refer to ? There is information in Ceiri Griffith's book of family trees about members of these families. Parish Register info etc for this area available on 'Y Ffor' website. Don't know how to set up link, see 'Keith's posting under Caernarvonshire re. this site.

The three sons were Rowland or Rowlands but the father was Rowland Pritchard.
(Don't you just LOVE patronymic names) >:(

Hi,
There's a Cae'r Ferch, Cae'r Ferch Isaf, Cae'r Ferch Uchaf and Cefn Cae'r Ferch, with variations to these spellings; sometimes the (') is left out. I've also seen 'Erch' rather than 'Ferch'; the river Erch passes very close to these farms and flows into the sea at Pwllheli.
The family I have connections with lived at Cae'r Ferch and Cae'r Ferch Uchaf. The family you refer to, lived in one of the other two.
Richard Lewis b. c.1870, married Sarah Davies of Trefor (Trevor), a sister of my maternal grandmother, in Conwy Reg. District, in 1898. At one time they kept a small hotel/guest house at Craigydon, Llandudno.

I don't know if this link is still active but thought I'd put in my penny's worth. Roland Pritchard of Cae'r Ferch is, I believe, one of my relatives and related to the Rowlands family of Cwm Ceiliog (and Cwm Ceiliog Bach), Llanaelhaearn, the family having been well researched and documented.  Happy to explain a little more and of course it is well documented by Ceiri Griffith.

Name on stone is Cae'r Wrach - not far away from Cae'r Ferch.
