I have been trying to find where 2 of my relatives have been buried or maybe cremated but without any success. They are Ellen Jacob died 1962 ad Reginald Jacob died 1961 both in Gorton Manchester. Their main parish was St James Gorton. I have tried many websites and rung the Jewish Synagogues to no avail. Some of their relatives was buried at Southern Cemetery. Where else can I look to try and find where they may have been buried or cremated?
Many thanks brads

Newspaper notices might have given funeral arrangements.

After a year of trying I still not locate where these burials/cremations took place. I have tried newspaper articles, deceased online and I have rung the cemeteries. There was a possibility that they were Jewish so I have contacted and spoken to the Manchester Synagogue still with no luck. Can anybody offer any further help? Kind regards brads

Nothing on the probate register for either of them. Reginald was Reginald George b 1888
Reginald's parents married at Barnton Christ Church in Cheshire in 1874
Reginald & Ellen married at Gorton All Saints in 1911 so unsure about a Jewish connection.
They appear to have had 8 children between 1911-1925 - are any of the descendants of those children still around who may remember 1961/1962 funerals?

Many family historians forget about this place looking for records. If you have not checked here give them a ring

Have you thought about contacting any of the funeral directors in Gorton?

freebmd has Reginald George b sep qtr 1887 in Chorlton .....died mar qtr 1961 aged 73 Manchester .as Ellen died a year later - it looks likely that they may have been cremated ?? surely if they were buried Ellen would have been buried with Reginald - but no burial for either ??...is there a Crematorium near Gorton ??

There is a cemetery in Reddish that you could check.
