Hi
Please could anybody help me with this picture.
It is off my Gr Grandma and grandad Mary and John McDermott of Ireland.
If possible I would have like it clearer of gr grandad face or anything that brings it out better than it is.
Thank you

I know you didn't ask for a coloured version ... but .... as it was probably taken in the Emerald Isle .... a verdant version....just for fun ;) ;D

;D A s long I wasn't the one having to mow it all Carol!... It's been so long since I spent time doing stuff on the board....it's been a nice change as I usually just go direct to the posters if I see something I really feel I want to do ... ... Just seen your thread on "Is it worth it? "... same old chestnut innit... S'why I have been away for so long elsewhere .... it started to feel souless and a bit like I was on a conveyor belt in a factory .... and you didn't even talk to the other workers !! ;D
Feeling a bit nostalgic for those days..... ;)

As soon as I saw this Poll I thought of Clee Hill and stopping to try and get photos, but if memory serves me correctly it was blowing a gale. Can't remember if that was before or after the pub though! :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D
Beautiful work BTW!

Shhhh .....that was AFTER the Pub !...
Looking at this chap's hair it was blowin' a hooley there too !
Feels like a reunion dunnit !? ;D

Oh for the days when restorers were a team actually communicated with each other and had respect and admiration for a job well done.

Thank you everybody for you versions of the picture I am happy with them all.
Polldoll Thank you for the coloured one it seems strange seeing them in a coloured photo as I have only ever seen them black & white. :)

You are welcome Kel...
I nearly always prefer to see the original tones in an old photo ... but as you say sometimes it can just make people seem more real when a bit of colour is added ...especially if you have never known them personally ...
