Title: funeral gilroes cem. Leicester
Post by: dianacl on Saturday 27 December 14 22:37 GMT (UK)
Please could anyone pinpoint within a decade when this old soldiers funeral might have taken place at Gilroes Cemetery in Leicester?  Does 1940 look about right?

I would say it looks right for 1940.

Thank you for fixing the photo Sarah, (I tried) and thanks for your date estimate Carol.  I set myself a task to look through the Leicester Mail (so stamped on the back, but no date) to try and find out who the relative is (pretty certain it is a relative)  This can only happen when I am in Leicester, about every 2 years. I have managed about 2 years so far. Diana

Hi Diana...if you would like your photo cleaning up and opinion on date...why not post it on the Photo Restoration Board.

Dear Sarah, Yes, I would be very grateful if you moved it.  Sorry for the delay.  Living rels took up too much time!  Thank you also Carol.  Diana
