Hi, it's been a while from my last post, (that sounds like a conffetion) Ha!. My Grandad was in the Leicester Regiment (11509) private 2nd Battalion he was wounded in 1915 maybe June after that he was in the Northampton Reg (70663-201342) i have no idea what all the numbers are but is there a way to find out what hospital he was sent to or about his injuries, he always said he got shot through the neck. Thanks and Happy New Year to all members. :)

Hi
Grandad Marston.
Does "Grandad Marston" have a christian name - was it John?
The numbers are his regimental service numbers
When and where was he born?
-
Yes his name was John Henry b 1894 Leicester thank you CaroleW.

There is a Medal Roll Index card showing him just as John Marston. He was awarded the British & Victory medals and also the 15 star
No country is shown for the Theatre of War but his date of entry into that country was 4.1.1915
It doesn't look as though his WW1 service record has survived. Over 60% were burnt during the WW2 blitz
