Hello all,
Looking for some assistance deciphering the second occupation given in the image below.
Thanks in advance for any help :)

Welcome to Rootschat.
Do you have the person in a census? This will show his occupation.

The nearest I am getting is "Registrar"

Thanks for the welcome. Haven't started slugging it out in the censuses yet - the gentleman's name was John Smith so I'm sure that will be a great time.

Thank you

Registrars are listed in Directories, knowing the location and date could help to confirm if that is what he was.

First word could be Quarryman or Journeyman. Not sure if either of those make sense?
-
Journeyman is not a profession/job title, I will go with quarryman though. The question was about the second title which looks like registrar to me.
-
In the 1911 Census there is a John Smith, Registrar Of Births and Deaths in Banbury.

I would go with Quarryman and Registrar.

Would a quarryman also be a registrar? Could it be Journeyman Registrar. I have a few in my line, Journeyman shoemaker, Journeyman Blacksmith for instance.

Quarryman is the occupation of the groom's father, and registrar of the bride's.
