Hello

Is anyone out there related to the Court family of Kineton and Armscote? Any descendants of William Court, born 1450 and died in 1501 in Armscote?

I've been wondering about this posting for a while  :)

Have you traced a family line back to William Court 1450-1501 or are you wondering if someone else already has?

I've got Courts in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire but the earliest so far is:
John COURT (1784-1845) marries Sarah BATES in Stoneleigh 1823.

I'm still a long way off from knowing whether or not William is part of my line. But do John/Sarah COURT fit into your COURT interests?

I was wondering if someone has traced it.

I was able to trace my Court ancestors back to the early 1700s. Then I check some trees online and turns out my ancestor was on a tree and it stretched back to 1450.

I don't have a John Court or Sarah Bates on my tree, but I would be able to answer questions and give information on the Court family.

Hello. I'm related to the Court family of Kineton....I have a copy of William Court's 1605 will from Kineton...he was a blacksmith....I saw the apparent connection to Armscote but unfortuntely there was no explanation about how exactly William Court the blacksmith (born 1550ish?) is connected to the Armscote Courts....could you help me on this??? I got a copy of the 1540 William Court of Armscote. I suppose that there is a very good chance of the Armscote and Kineton Courts being connected but I would love to be 100% convinced.....thanks! best wishes Giles

Hello,  As far as my research has taken me, it's probable I descend from William Court of Kineton, calculated on a transcription of his Will dated 1605.   He bequeaths to the following; sons Leonard, William, Peter, John; son-in-laws Yorke?, Sponford? and William Pye? .  Peter was named Executor and it was witnessed by Leonard, William and a Thomas Court (?).   As this transcription was shared with me years ago, we can assume it has errors and/or omissions, in particular, the surnames of his son-in-laws.   Clarification would be most grateful and appreciated. 

Leonard Court is my lineage.  Several generations were blacksmiths.
